Motivation

According to the recent statistics there are approximately 2.2 billion children in the world, with one billion living in poverty. That is every second child!!!  Children in impoverished communities live without hope with their childhood basically overshadowed by the need of everything from food to safe water to solid shelter. Striving to survive, children are deprived of their childhood, of the right to be happy and the feeling that they are a vital part of the future of our planet.

Children are children regardless of their families’ economic status and they will grow and develop through play and socialization. Play is a fundamental part of children’s lives just like family, school or friends; it produces development, learning and social adaptation. Children in poor communities do not usually have access to quality recreation facilities that are safe and all-inclusive. They turn streets, ruins or other spaces into dangerous and often deadly playgrounds.

Rami’s Garden International Initiative is planning to create recreational spaces in impoverished neighborhoods to provide children with a safe place to play, develop and socialize. The initiative is aimed at strengthening the community and raising the importance of safe and enriching environment for children affected by poverty issues.

Rami’s Garden will be seeking funding from available National and International grants, corporate sponsors, big and small businesses, charitable foundations and private fundraising efforts. We will also seek support from local authorities, state governments, NGOs as well as local community members and its leaders.

A detailed project plan will be conducted for every initiative with outreach, design, materials, workforce/volunteers, regulations/codes compliance, quality control, maintenance and program evaluation carefully planned and approved.

Rami’s Garden is not planning to engage in any activity for profit making and is solely focused on humanitarian goals of children’s welfare around the world.
